3 Times a Lady

Our little lady is three months old and I have had the funnest three months! There is just something about this girl that is so enchanting and sweet and she is SUCH a good baby. I'm talking she'll just sit on my lap all through church awake and happy and content as can be. And don't even get me started on the clothes, I could play dress up for hours (I don't, I'm just saying I could). I hope she's having as much fun as I am. Here's a few of the things she's been up to lately:

*Laughing!-I've only seen it twice but I know she's just getting started. Both times I tried to get it on video but she would stop as soon as I started recording.

*She's starting to "play" with toys- mostly just grabbing on to them and putting them in her mouth

*She REFUSES to take a bottle-This has gotten interesting since I had to go back to work last week. The poor girl refused any kind of food and just held out till I got home, that's going to have to change but I can tell she's already quite the strong spirited type

*She's already growing out of a lot of her 3 months clothes. This isn't something new to me because all my kids have been tall, I'm sure they get it from me ; )

Two Months

My little love nugget is two months old! I feel like time has flown and at the same time I feel as though this little lady has been with us forever. Here are some month two highlights:

*she is a social butterfly already and loves to hold "conversations" with anyone who will listen

* she is in LOVE with her brother Harrison and lights up like a Christmas tree whenever he comes around, in fact the feeling is mutual, Harrison keeps asking me why he can't marry her when they both grow up

*she loves to chew on her fists but won't take a binky, I have a feeling she'll be a thumb sucker soon

* I hope I don't get jinxed for this one but so far she has been an AWESOME sleeper

We love our Sweet Caroline!

Heaven on Earth

So we found boy heaven. A place on the Earth where all the stars align and my little boys are in absolute bliss. Where the sand and water are warm and the tanks roam free all day. Yes that's right I said TANKS! We spent one fantastic day at Camp Pendleton, with my sister and brother-in-law who were camping for the whole week. On the way down I was explaining to the boys that we were going to a beach where they could see soldiers and tanks. Their response to that was, "Why haven't we been to that beach BEFORE!" Like I was holding out on this big secret. All day long they were calling it the Army Beach, I gave up on explaining what a Marine was. Harrison played in the water pretty much the entire day while Frankie stuck to the sand (and the sand stuck to him). Then we all went back to camp and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. I don't think my kids have ever played so hard or been so happy. But now my fear is that just the plain old regular beach will pale in comparison.

A Blessed Day

Last Sunday was a special day for Caroline. She was blessed in church and then had a luncheon with family to celebrate. She wore the same dress that I wore when I was blessed and Harrison and Frankie both told her she looked like a princess. Brandon did a beautiful job with the blessing, she's a lucky girl to have such a sweet daddy. She has brought a very sweet spirit into our home and I feel like she was meant to be in our family.

With each baby I get more and more of a sense of family. I love how all the kids interact with each other and build their relationships as they grow. Even though my boys get very close to killing each other daily, they're the first one to defend each other against any "outsiders". Hopefully Harrison and Frankie will survive to adulthood long enough to be best friends.

One whole month!

So I decided to copy other blogs I've seen and document each month of Caroline's first year with a special photo. This will hopefully get me to actually blog on a regular basis. The first month has flown by so fast that I'm trying so hard to soak up all the fun and cuteness that this little lady has brought into our family! Here are some things that have made the first month noteworthy.
* I think she's about ten pounds ( I used the old weigh myself with her and then without her method for that one which is why I say I think)
* She has a receding hairline which causes me to put either a hat or headband on her at all times.
* She NEVER cries. (unless she's hungry or has a yucky diaper, but wouldn't you cry too?)
* She has started smiling and cooing, which I LOVE!
* Her brothers are wrapped around her little finger, in fact they started calling her cookie, because they "love her so much they want to eat her!"
We love our sweet Caroline!
